The Master of Social Sciences program in Sociology offers an innovative, problem-based sociological approach, highlighting the crucial role of sociology in understanding and addressing pressing social challenges.

We offer training in research design, methods and implementation. Our unique and broad-based curriculum structure incorporates the four major strengths of the Department of Sociology: sociology, criminology, media and cultural Studies, and spatial demographic analysis.

Candidates from diverse academic backgrounds are welcome. However, the applicant should demonstrate in the application their previous experience and understanding of sociological knowledge/methods. If necessary, applicants may need to pass a qualification examination/interview to meet the requirements of the admissions officer.
