Tutoring Review
Student Zeng is studying Economics and Trade at a non-prestigious domestic university. Due to the average ranking of his undergraduate institution, in order to have a higher starting point, the student has always planned to pursue further studies for a postgraduate degree. Considering that the duration of postgraduate studies in China is relatively long, and through classmates and senior students around me, I have learned that the application for studying abroad is a comprehensive assessment, not like the postgraduate entrance examination in China where one exam determines one's fate. Moreover, there are many cases around me where people have found satisfactory jobs after returning to China through the accumulation of overseas study and the improvement of their academic qualifications. After communicating with my parents, Zeng also decided to pursue a postgraduate degree overseas in his junior year.
Taking into account factors such as the cost-effectiveness of studying abroad and school rankings, after communication with the student, it was determined that the application for studying in the UK and Australia would prioritize school rankings as the primary goal, followed by choosing majors related to undergraduate studies that are relatively easy to find employment in. Eventually, the applications to the University of Sydney, KCL, the University of Glasgow, Cardiff University, and the University of Liverpool were confirmed. I have currently received offers from the University of Sydney, Cardiff University and the University of Liverpool.
