1. Regarding the selection of study abroad agencies
It was towards the end of the second semester of my junior year that I began to consider studying abroad, so my time was relatively tight. After much research, I think that compared with DIY, having the assistance of an intermediary agency would be much more convenient and effective for me.
Choosing an institution is a headache for me. At first, I looked into various local institutions in Chengdu, big and small, but there were more or less some negative reviews online. After a thorough comparison, it was decided to conduct the final screening between two institutions, among which was Yisi Boluo.
I still remember that after adding Teacher Lin, I briefly introduced my basic situation to her. On the same day, she sent me a basic plan and school selection suggestions.
Later, I went to Yisibole for an offline consultation. Teacher Lin had an in-depth and detailed communication with me. It not only covered their entire arrangement for the process before and after my application, but also included academic planning during my study abroad and guidance on my future career direction.
In conclusion, after that day's understanding, I think the teachers of Yisi Boluo are not only very professional but also dedicated to every student. This is also one of the important reasons why I chose Yisi Boluo.
After officially cooperating with Yisi Boluo, Teacher Lin conducted a detailed school selection analysis for me and had several face-to-face discussions with me to confirm.
During this process, Teacher Lin elaborately explained the corresponding course arrangements of each school and screened the majors based on my personal experiences and interests. During the discussion, whenever I felt perplexed or confused, Teacher Lin could often offer me some objective and effective suggestions, which made me very satisfied with my school selection.
2. Regarding the process of document writing
At the very beginning of my understanding of the application for studying abroad, I knew that the application documents were a very important part of the entire process. Therefore, when choosing an institution, I tended to prefer those with high-quality application documents and teachers.
During the introduction by Teacher Lin, I learned that the document teachers of Yisibole all have relatively rich experience and are located in Chengdu, which is very convenient for communication. Although the communication of the documents was all online due to summer internships, going home and other reasons, it did not affect the writing of the documents at all.
Once when I was brainstorming with Teacher Huang to prepare the content for the application documents, I was quite worried in my heart. In my memory, college life doesn't seem to have anything worth elaborating on or that is attractive. But during the discussion with Teacher Huang, she asked me many questions from different perspectives. Even a very minute point could lead to in-depth exploration and expansion.
Moreover, we weren't always having serious discussions. The teacher would also chat with me about some hobbies and such topics. This made me feel that when I read the application documents, they were very much in line with my personality and also more vivid. (At that time, the teacher found out that I quite like playing badminton and said that we would make an appointment together if there was a chance. Hahaha, although I'm not very good at it...)"
I remember throughout the entire document communication process, as my experimental content was quite extensive, I confirmed the detailed descriptions of the experiments with my teacher many times.
By the end of the revision, I actually felt a bit embarrassed, thinking that I had revised that part too many times. But every time I fed back my revision suggestions to the teacher, she could quickly make the revisions and polish them, and give me a version that satisfied me.
3. A successful application result
I still clearly remember the day I received an offer from con.
Before that, I was lying in the dormitory after suffering a fracture from a misstep while going down the stairs. Suddenly, I received a notice from Teacher Lin, asking me to come and accept the offer letter as soon as possible. I was still completely confused at that time. Although the teacher had confirmed some information with me before, I never expected that I had already submitted the application and received the offer so soon.
After seeing the screenshot, I perked up completely and found it quite incredible. It wasn't until the teacher forwarded the admission email to me that the sense of reality gradually intensified. I remember I read that admission letter over and over again many times at that time. Hahahaha.
For me, the application process was not as smooth as it seemed. There were also times when I was rejected. However, after I applied for an additional school, the application team at Yisi Boluo was very proactive in helping me reselect a school and rewrite my application essays, without wasting any time.
I was a little sad because I was rejected before, and at the same time, I began to worry that my chances of getting into the University of Manchester were slim. But in December last year, I actually received an offer from my dream school, the University of Manchester! This is a result that I am satisfied with and it also surprises me greatly. In February of this year, I also received an offer from the school I applied to in Canada, and thus my application season came to an end.
Although it doesn't seem like a so-called "Grand Slam", for me, my wish has been fully fulfilled.
I am extremely grateful to the teachers of the Yisibole team for their hard work and continuous encouragement, which has finally led to such a satisfactory result.
Wish Yisi Bole all the best and keep improving!
